We are pleased to announce the launch of the project Athletes Beyond Sport: Building Bridges for Dual Career Success – ABS, co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Sport programme.
The ABS project focuses on one of the key challenges in modern sport: supporting athletes in developing successful dual careers. Many athletes dedicate years to training, competitions and sporting achievements, but often face uncertainty when planning their education, professional development and future career beyond sport.
Through the project, the partner organisations will work together to develop practical, digital and innovative resources for athletes. These will include career guidance materials, video resources, self-assessment tools and an AI-powered platform designed to help athletes better understand their transferable skills and explore future career opportunities.
ABS believes that sport builds valuable competences such as discipline, resilience, leadership, teamwork and motivation — qualities that can also open doors beyond the sports field.
